About GRM
GRM started its evolution in Manchester in 1986 with CEO, Graham Scarsbrook, who has 34 years experience in the insulation manufacturing industry.
GS Insulation Suppliers Ltd in Droylsden, Manchester was the first to open, followed ten years later by KD Insulations Ltd. Subsequently, further companies were started in Birmingham (MC Insulation Ltd), Glasgow (TD Insulation Ltd) and Newcastle (SG Insulation Ltd) all operating independently yet following the same high level of customer service that GRM is renowned for.
CEO
In 2003 the decision was made to merge all five companies into one group, GRM Distribution Ltd, to take advantage of the economics of scale and logistical rationalisation that is enjoyed by a larger single unit.
GRM is part of the SIG Group. Whilst GRM works independently being part of the SIG Group ensures National and European coverage when required. The Group are also shareholders in Resolco BV in the Netherlands, producing its own ODP phenolic foam (insulphen) which is providing the industry with the most advanced phenolic foam available in the world today – and providing GRM’s commitment to continually develop and improve on their products and services.
